SUMMARY:Introduction to ArcGIS Pro
DESCRIPTION:A Geographic Information System\, also known as GIS\, can be a very useful tool for your research by incorporating location when exploring your questions. \nIn this short\, interactive workshop\, we will focus on ArcGIS Pro basics\, explore the interface\, add and visualize data\, create a map layout which we can either export as a PDF or share as a web map. Previous knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) is not expected. \n* Make sure to register for an ArcGIS Online account before the start of the workshop. \n* Please also download the ArcGIS Pro application. This requires a Microsoft Windows operating system. Details and information for installing the application may be found at the University Software Portal. \nThe application is also available through the Rutgers Virtual Computer Labs. An ArcGIS Online account is needed to log into ArcPro. \n \n Learn more and register

SUMMARY:Data Publication 1
DESCRIPTION:Creating reproducible research\, literate programming documents\, and using knitr\, Sweave\, blogdown\, and bookdown\nThe RStudio environment enables the easy creation of documents in various formats (HTML\, DOC\, PDF) using Rmarkdown\, while knitr allows the incorporation of executable R code to produce the tables and figures in those documents. Sweave provides more advanced LaTeX typesetting\, while blogdown and bookdown allow the easy creation of formatted documents in both web-compatible and print formats. This session introduces these concepts and other packages and practices supporting reproducibility with the R environment. \nSupplemental materials are available. \n \n Learn more and register
