The experienced business and marketing professionals on OARC’s Business Operations, Grants, and Workforce Development Team work to increase, improve, and highlight the services offered by OARC to the university community.
This team directs the financial management, grant coordination, project management, event, marketing and educational activities of the department. Collaborating with leaders across campus and throughout central administration, they work closely with OARC leadership, as well as the respective business management, human resources, and marketing/communication teams of the Office of the Chief Information Officer/Senior Vice President of Information Technology and the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research.
The OARC Business Operations, Grants, and Workforce Development Team assists both our departmental personnel and our partners and collaborators across the university and around the world.
Services and activities include the following:
- grant proposal writing
- budget administration and management
- seeking out and establishing funding opportunities, project and event management
- communications, marketing, and press relations
- establishing and fostering partnerships in the greater community
- managing the hardware, software, and maintenance licenses for OARC equipment and resources
The team also works closely with the OARC Research and Education Facilitator (REF) team to coordinate the department’s education, outreach, training and workforce development efforts. This includes training of the next-generation research computing, data, and machine-learning workforce, and support of student staff and interns.
