OARC Research Computing Users,

Amarel, Perceval, and associated systems will be offline for maintenance around June 1-2. The exact hours/days for this maintenance window will be determined and announced as soon as possible.

The Hill Data Center in Piscataway hosts many core components of OARC’s computing infrastructure. That facility is undergoing significant maintenance and repair work on mechanical and electrical systems on June 1 and 2. Our system administration team will be using this facilities outage as an opportunity to get additional maintenance work completed on OARC’s clusters, storage systems, and networks. That additional work will take place in the days immediately before or after the Hill Data Center outage and we’re working quickly to get the schedule for that work scheduled. Systems in Camden and Newark will also undergo maintenance, but the work schedule at those sites may be shorter.
