Dear Newton User,
After almost nine years of service, we are shutting down the Newton Cluster on October 29th, 2018. OARC has two options to provide continuity of service for you. If you are currently NIH funded, you eligible to use the NIH-funded Perceval cluster. You may also move your computing to the Amarel cluster as an open access user or become an Amarel owner with resources dedicated and immediately available to you. Perceval and Amarel are state-of-the art machines significantly more capable than Newton. Information for both clusters can be found at https://sites.google.com/view/cluster-user-guide.
Please do not hesitate contacting me or the rest of the OARC team (help@hpc.rutgers.edu) to discuss data migrating and any concerns regarding the end of Newton’s service life and transition to a new environment. OARC trusts that if you have a continuing requirement for high performance computing, you will find these machines more than suitable.
Regards,
Eric and the rest of the OARC Team
